We have selected for you the best visits & wine tasting in three famous Medoc appellations (Margaux, St Julien, Pauillac or St Estephe) and top estates Grands Crus Classes 1855. - 9:00 /9:30am Pick up from your hotel (private vehicle & personal guide) - Guided tour & wine tasting in a Pauillac Classified Growth 1855 - Lunch in a local gourmet restaurant - Wine tour to St Julien or St Estephe Classified Growth 1855 - Sightseeing on the Chateau wine road - Visit & wine tasting in a Margaux Clasified Growth 1855 - 6:00/6:30pm Return to Bordeaux (hotel, railway, airport) Chateaux visited : Visits are only by appointment. During this day, you will taste in different 3 wineries (listed in the Chateaux's section). All our tours are differents and an unique experience to taste fine & rare wines. Extra charge : Lunch, drinks & any personal expenses. Pick up or drop off outside of Bordeaux. Delay : Some Chateaux are very sought after or very exclusive. Your request has to be sent earlier the better. Don’t hesitate to let us know in your request if you have any preference for specifc wineries but, visit to First Growth (Lafte, Latour, Margaux or Mouton) can not be guaranteed Duration : 8-9h Language available : English spoken tour Objective of this tour : To allow the wine lovers from all over the world to taste Pauillac & Margaux wines and visit some of the Bordeaux most famous top estates. You will learn about the main Bordeaux appellations, blend variety, terroir, classification, AOC ... Note : Let us know in your request if you have a preference for specific wineries. Visits are not private & only by appointment. Chateaux & schedule depend on availabilities. We can only confirm visited properties after your payment and a definitive itinerary will be sent to you before your arrival. Usually a tour with wine tasting takes around 1h/1h30 and they propose 2 wines from the estate. Chateaux & wineries are closed from 12am until 2pm. The 1855 Classification was requested by Emperor Napoleon III to present the most famous Bordeaux wines at the Paris Universal
exhibition. To follow up on the Emperor's request, the Bordeaux brokers ranked the wines in 5 levels according to a chateau's reputation and trading price.
